Sandy Esters and Jim Harmarvin are your picture-perfect young high school couple in love. These two American sweethearts from the heart of New York City have the perfect relationship together. They share classes together, enjoy each other’s company, and are happy with one another in their lives.

During Easter break of 1993, Jim decides to take Sandy on a weekend trip to Key West, Florida, the first trip of their relationship. Both of them are excited for the trip as they pack and prepare for their upcoming venture, but meanwhile, unbeknownst to them, a storm is slowly brewing to the south that neither one of them ever expected to be so severe.

As they become stranded at a gas station in North Carolina for days on end, will their love be enough to see them through their hardships, or will it be the very thing that breaks them apart for all of time?
